16 Cakes That Look Almost Too Good To Eat

No comments:

The Cake Book Tag I did a few days ago inspired this post.

As I mentioned in that post, I was supposed to be looking at wedding stuff on Pinterest to finalize all my wedding details, but then I saw a book-inspired wedding cake.

That darn book cake made me lose all my focus and I started searching for other book inspired cakes.

Take a look at what I found!

The Book Cake Tag

No comments:

Cakes and books? Um, yes, please! Nomz.

I was supposed to be researching last minute touches for my wedding (next weekend, guys!!) on Pinterest. Of course, I became very distracted and started looking at book cakes for whatever reason.

The good thing is I saw this tag floating around! I couldn't find the original poster, but I tried!

I tag all the cake lovers and anyone else who wants to be tagged!

She meant to help a ghost...not unleash a curse.

Amelia Dupree hasn’t seen the Woman in White since the night her brother died.

The ghost seems to have disappeared from the woods surrounding Asylum, Pennsylvania—that is, until Charlie Blue moves into the creepy old MacAllister House next door. Amelia can’t help liking him, even though she spent her childhood thinking his grandmother was a witch. And she definitely can’t ignore the connection between his arrival and the Woman in White’s return.

Then Amelia learns that the Woman in White is a prisoner, trapped between the worlds of the living and the dead. Devastated by the idea that her brother could be suffering a similar fate, Amelia decides to do whatever it takes to help the Woman in White find peace--and Charlie agrees to help her.

But when Amelia’s classmates start to drown in the Susquehanna River, one right after another, rumors swirl as people begin to connect the timing of Charlie’s arrival with the unexplained deaths. As Charlie and Amelia uncover the dark history of Asylum, they realize they may have unleashed an unspeakable evil. One they have to stop before everything they love is destroyed.

All Andi Parker has ever wanted, all she’s ever dreamed of, is a spot on the Olympic track team. But when an accident leaves her hospitalized with serious injuries and shattered dreams, she’s not only uncertain what her future holds but also completely alone.

Drew Slater is a wanted man. Professional football teams want him for his arm. Women want him for his good looks and magnetic personality. But the well-crafted disguise he wears, the one that helps him score on and off the field, hides secrets. Conceals lies. Threatens the happiness of everyone around him.

One chance encounter brings Andi and Drew together, changing their worlds in ways they never thought possible. Unfortunately, what they thought they knew about themselves—and about each other—might just be the biggest lie of all.

Taylor Swift Book Tag

No comments:
This tag was originally done as a YouTube video by Sarah @ The Book Life, so definitely check her out!

For those of you who haven't heard of this tag, it's basically a list of Taylor Swift songs and your interpretation of the books that should go along with them. Very fun!

Let's Discuss: Books Becoming Movies

No comments:
I'm that person that always insists the book was better than the movie. Every now and then I do a Google search for YA books that have been optioned for film. It's a great way to add to my TBR because if they're turning into movies, the books must be good, right?

My most recent search contains a few titles I haven't read yet, so I really need to get on it and finish these books before the movies are released!

Are there any movies on this list that you are most excited for?

Booklover Buys: Harry Potter on Etsy

No comments:
I spend so much time on Etsy, it's seriously becoming a problem. I search through so many random shops and favorite hundreds of items that I will probably never buy-- all because everything is so damn cute.

I think it's time I put my Etsy hours to use and actually share what I find. That way I have something to show for all the mindless browsing I do!

This week, I'm sharing my Harry Potter finds!

I could seriously stare at his pictures for hours on the internet. HOURS.

I just can't get enough and I need to watch this movie NOW. February 2016 cannot come soon enough.

Review: No Regrets (Nova #3) by Jessica Sorensen

Publish Date: April 15th, 2014

Rating: 2 / 5

I purchased a copy from Amazon.

Blurb:
Today is the first day of Quinton Carter's new life. The toxic guilt of his past left him in pieces-but one girl unexpectedly put him back together. Thanks to Nova Reed, Quinton can finally see the world with clear eyes. She's the reason his heart is still kicking behind the jagged scar on his chest. And he would love to have her in his arms every minute of the day . . . but he's not ready yet.

Playing drums in a band and living with her best friends are just some of the highlights of Nova's life. But the best new development? Talking to Quinton on the phone each night. She wishes she could touch him, kiss him, though she knows he needs time to heal. Yet shocking news is on the way-a reminder of life's dark side-and Nova will need Quinton like he once needed her. Is he strong enough to take the final leap out of his broken past . . . and into Nova's heart?

Nova Reed can't forget him-Quinton Carter, the boy with the honey-brown eyes who made her realize she deserved more than an empty life. His pain was so similar to her own. But Nova has been coming to terms with her past and healing, while Quinton is out there somewhere, sinking deeper. She's determined to find him and help him...before it's too late.

Nova has haunted his dreams for nearly a year-but Quinton never thought a sweet, kind person like her would care enough about a person like him. To Quinton, a dark, dangerous life is exactly what he deserves. And Nova has no place in it. But Nova has followed him to Las Vegas, and now he must do whatever it takes to keep her away, to maintain his self-imposed punishment for the unforgivable things he's done. But there's one flaw in his plan: Nova isn't going anywhere...

Nova Reed used to have dreams-of becoming a famous drummer, of marrying her true love. But all of that was taken away in an instant. Every day blends into the next . . . until she meets Quinton Carter. His intense, honey brown eyes instantly draw her in, and he looks just about as broken as she feels inside.

Quinton once got a second chance at life-but he doesn't want it. The tattoos on his chest are a constant reminder of what he's done, what he's lost. He's sworn to never allow happiness into his life . . . but then beautiful, sweet Nova makes him smile. He knows he's too damaged to get close to her, yet she's the only one who can make him feel alive again. Quinton will have to decide: does he deserve to start over? Or should he pay for his past forever?

Let's Discuss: Twilight Fanfiction That Became Famous

Loren Hale’s best friend is his bottle of bourbon. Lily comes at a close second. For three years, they've pretended to be in a real relationship, hiding their addictions from their families. They’ve mastered the art of concealing flasks and random guys that filter in and out of their apartment.

But as they sink beneath the weight of their addictions, they cling harder to their destructive relationship and wonder if a life together, for real, is better than a lie. Strangers and family begin to infiltrate their guarded lives, and with new challenges, they realize they may not just be addicted to alcohol and sex.

Their real vice may be each other.
