Blurb:
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn’t love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

First Thoughts

Good God, this was an ugly love, indeed. This kind of "love" is exactly why I had to knock a star off of my rating. This kind of love is unhealthy. Writing of this kind of love sends the wrong message to girls-- "He may say he only wants sex in the beginning, but if you stick it out, you can convince him to love you."

Four stars because Corbin was the best brother ever, Cap' cracked me up, the sex scenes were ah-maaa-zing, and Miles' secret had tears streaming down my face.

What I Enjoyed

Getting pissed off at Miles & Tate. Ok, I know this doesn't sound like a good thing, but CoHo wrote these characters and their faults so well that I couldn't help but want to hate them and scream at them for being so ridiculous!

Miles' POV chapters. Miles's chapters actually take place 6 years ago and detail his romance with his first love, Rachel. Right from the get-go, you know something devastating has happened with her otherwise Miles wouldn't be so effed up. His secret shattered my heart. No one should ever have to go through that. EVER.

The secondary characters. I loved that Corbin was so overprotective and caring toward Tate, Cap's wisdom and wit made him so likable, and Ian was the best guy friend you could ever imagine.

What Could Have Been Better

The plot. Worst thing ever happens to guy. Guy becomes damaged and broken. Guy proposes a sex only relationship with girl. Girl wants a relationship with guy but pretends she is ok with the sex only relationship. Guy repeatedly uses girl for sex. Girl repeatedly feels like crap about it but is too weak to say anything. I hated this relationship. This isn't a ship I would ever ship. Not even after the HEA.

Dillon. Um, sorry, but what was the point of him?

Memorable Quote

“Love isn't always pretty. Sometimes you spend all your time hoping it'll eventually be something different. Something better. Then, before you know it, you're back to square one, and you lost your heart somewhere along the way.”
